We are just coming off the back of another Grand slam tournament, with the PGA Championship taking place at the Southern Hills Championship Course with a purse of $12 million up for grabs. Heading into the event it was Rory again amongst the favourites with fans supporting him to take the title with odds still available heading into the event. The 33 year has a strong history of success at the event, having picked up the victory in both 2012 and 2014, as he looked to end the lengthy wait for another Grand slam victory.
Rory kicked off with a flying start and was amongst the leaders after the opening รถกอล์ฟ 2 ที่นั่ง, before faltering and ultimately losing his chance of victory in the event. However, he then finished strong, and this is something we have been seeing him do at many tournaments at present. If you could maintain this form throughout, then he would give himself a real chance of again picking up another major title and further extend his incredible career to date.
With Rory faltering, it meant a victory for Justin Thomas in what was a very exciting tournament for fans. He posted a five under, alongside Zalatoris, which meant the match went into a playoff. However, Thomas was able to pull off the victory and his second PGA Championship, following his victory back in 2017. He has yet to pick up victories at any of the other majors, with his best performance coming via a 4th placed finish at the Masters back in 2020. He will now be full of confidence and hopeful of further success in the near future and at just 29 years of age, you would expect the 29 year old to add a few more Grand slams to his record when he finishes his career.
A massive thank you to everybody involved in making days like yesterday happen. It’s why I, and all of us, work our tails off to be in scenarios like that. There’s nothing better. I couldn’t be happier to be a 2 time (!!!!) @PGAChampionship winner. Let’s keep it rollin!!! pic.twitter.com/NlhxNqYup7

Next for Rory will be the Memorial tournament in the coming days and there is no doubt he will again be starting amongst the favourites and a popular choice, before we move onto the US open, with expectations already building ahead of the event.
